Every year the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection takes IBPS SO cadre in many public sector banks. IBPS launched a General Written Examination (CWE) in 2011 to recruit SOs, officers and clerks in public sector banks. It accepts online application on the official website for registration of the exam.

It is held at various places all over India. The method of examination is online. IBPS SO Pre-Exam will be held on 27 & 28 December 2020. The IBPS SO Main Exam will be held on 24 January 2021. IBPS SO examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates for the posts of IT Officer, Agriculture Sector Officer, Official Language Officer, Law. The Officer, Human Resource / Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer examination is conducted in 3 stages - Prelims, Main Examination and Interview Round.

IBPS So Syllabus:

IBPS exam syllabus is similar to other bank exams except that IBPS issues only the broad subjects, they can be further bifurcated into individual topics, based on the questions that have appeared in the exams over the past few years. The IBPS syllabus is divided into two parts.

Law Officer (Scale-I):

IBPS SO Exam Sample: Key Points

Candidates can check the key points of Prelims and Mains IBPS SO Exam Pattern.
  1. The examination pattern of IBPS SO 2020 for selecting Rajya Sabha Officer Secondary and Law Officer is the same.
  2. The examination pattern for all other posts is different from the examination pattern of Law Officer and Rajya Sabha Officer.
  3. The mains exam will have only one section, namely professional knowledge
  4. Only three sections will be asked in the preliminary exam of IBPS SO 2020 exam.
  5. English Language, Reasoning and General Awareness have been asked for Official Language Officer and Law Officer.
  6. The sections asked for other positions are English Language, Argument and Dimension Aptitude.
  7. Preliminary examination score will not be considered for final selection. 
  8. For final allotment: The combined marks of the main examination and interview process in the ratio of 200:20 will be considered.
